Author and playwright Joe D’Amato was born in New York City, and currently lives north of Cincinnati with his wife Linda. He began his literary career writing in-house advertising copy and pieces for the Daily News Record and Woman’s Wear Daily.

An actor and director, Joe has performed in such classics of the American stage as Plaza Suite, Funny Money, The Odd Couple, Twelve Angry Men, The Second Time Around, The Rebels are Coming, as well as professionally in episodes of Cheers and Frasier. He has directed, Life with Father, Death Trap, Twelve Angry Men, Carnival, and Dial M for Murder.
