Tracy H. Sugg has always had an affinity for sculpture, from sculpting in the clay found in her yard as a child, to an eight-year apprenticeship under a master sculptor. Her philosophy toward art and artists is one of excellence and humility:
I believe tha the artist should be a servant to humanity. I feel that I have a sacred resonsbility to God and mankind to produce works of Beauty and Truth.
Or, as her artist’s state says, “…to create sculptures that reflect a touch of the Infinite.”
Having honed her craft through research in Europe, the signature style of Tracy’s sculpted figures combines the spontaneity of the French Impressionists with the drama of the Italian Baroque. However, Tracy states, “My favorite sculptures are my four children!”
“Sculpture is the tangible expression of my belief that Beauty strengthens the soul. As a sculptor, I feel that the highest form of devotion from the artist is that of a servant to hanity. Each piece I sculpt reflects this service and desire to uplift the human soul.”
Tracy provided the accompanying art for author Paula K. Parker’s inspirational devotional book, Illuminations. To learn more about Tracy and to discover more of her amazing art, visit her online at www.tracyhsugg.com.
