Playwright Ronnie Meek (Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol) also serves as senior pastor to a vibrant middle Tennessee church. He was recently interviewed by Character.org about the relationship between theatre and the church.
“the church and the theatre belong together because…the theatre will keep the church on the edge, relevant, and connecting to the culture. And the church will keep the theatre in touch with its purpose for ministry,” Meek said.
