Cross Wind Productions, a non-profit organization meeting the needs of the teen generation through hope-filled dynamic films and by mentoring teenage artists in the art of filmmaking, has tapped WordCrafts Press author, Torry Martin, as Master of Ceremonies for its 10th Anniversary Gala in Houston, TX.

Torry is an award-winning actor, screenwriter, comedian and author. He is a two-time Gospel Music Association Grand Prize Winner and writes popular humor columns for periodicals ON COURSE, CLUBHOUSE, CLOUD TEN PICTURES & others. He additionally writes for a national radio series ADVENTURES IN ODYSSEY where he created the popular character of Wooton Bassett for the program.

Torry has appeared as an actor in several commercials and television programs and starred on stage in a leading role for the Columbia Artists national tour of the musical comedy, AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS written by Marc Cherry, writer for the GOLDEN GIRLS.

As a comedian, Torry has performed in hundreds of churches, comedy clubs and festivals throughout the United States and performed at Microsoft parties for Chairman, Bill Gates. Torry’s unique brand of comedy is best described by author Paul McCusker who said; “Take Garrison Keillor and put a spiritual perspective to him and you have Torry Martin.”
